I met a really interesting guy last night .He was an Indian, and he told me he’d travelled to pokhara for only 20 rupees :he’d worked his passage on a train then he hitchhiked through Gorakhpur .He said that since he’d arrived in pokhara he’d been earning a living painting people portraits in Lakeside .He’d been an art student in Jaipur, India , apparently .Anyway, he told me he was going to leave for London on Monday , but he said he would come round and paint my portrait before he left…’
